Daily Depression

During the final years of my first marriage I was commuting into NYC from Cold Spring, NY every day for an hour and a half each way. While I enjoyed living on the Hudson River after years in Brooklyn, the commute really began to wear on me. In a desperate attempt to stave off depression and stay socially relevant on Instagram I began doing a series of "Daily Doodles" on my iPad. While some are more successful than others, it's hard for myself to look at these without a profound feeling of melancholy and/or gouging my eyes out.
